AICTE ATAL FDP on Emerging Trends and Research Frontiers in Chemical Engineering from Green and Sustainable Future from 15-20 Dec

Published December 15, 2025 • By VDU • 2 min read

The AICTE ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Emerging Trends and Research Frontiers in Chemical Engineering for a Green and Sustainable Future, scheduled from 15-20 December, is designed to strengthen the academic and research capabilities of faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals. The program aims to promote sustainable development by integrating advanced chemical engineering concepts with environmentally responsible technologies.

Over six days, the FDP will explore modern research directions and innovative solutions that address pressing global challenges such as climate change, energy scarcity, waste management, and environmental pollution. It seeks to bridge the gap between conventional chemical engineering practices and next-generation sustainable technologies.

The program will cover a range of contemporary topics, including:

- Green chemistry and sustainable process design

- Energy-efficient and low-emission technologies

- Carbon capture, utilization, and storage

- Waste-to-energy and resource recovery systems

- Circular economy models in chemical industries

- Renewable energy integration and hydrogen economy

- Process intensification and advanced reactor design

- AI, machine learning, and data-driven optimization in chemical processes

- Sustainable materials and environmental remediation

Sessions will be delivered by experienced academicians, researchers, and industry experts who will share insights through lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions. The FDP will emphasize practical applications of research, encouraging participants to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial practices.

In addition to technical sessions, the program will provide guidance on research proposal development, funding opportunities, publication in reputed journals, intellectual property rights, and industry-academia collaboration. These components aim to enhance participants' research output and professional growth.

The FDP also encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants from diverse institutions. Through discussions and experience sharing, attendees will gain broader perspectives on sustainable engineering solutions.

By the end of the program, participants will have a deeper understanding of emerging research trends and sustainable technologies in chemical engineering. They will be better prepared to incorporate innovative and environmentally responsible practices into teaching, research, and industrial applications, contributing meaningfully toward building a greener and more sustainable future.
